Coffee from Panama has always taken second billing to most other Central and South American coffees, but I have loved their soft, muted, subtle, qualities since 1978 when I began to blend them with pure Kona coffees to create my Kona Blend.
This Panama Coffee is from a private estate known as the Hartman Estate. This coffee came in 3rd in the 2001 Panama National Competition. The Hartmans are very habitat conscious and are avid birders. Supporting them supports the objectives of the American Birding Association and the goal of making great coffee from Panama commonly known.
